Letting Go/Ang Sang Wahe Guru

about

I wrote the first words to this song in the wee months of 2018. It was inspired by Jack Elias, my hypnotherapy teacher who shared the perspective that we're all continuously moving between different trance states, and that the most compelling, persistent and comprehensive bundle of trance states that we all have is the idea of who we are, our defensive identity . . . and that if we can effect change at that level, to free ourselves of limiting trance states that keep us from manifesting the inherent original innocence and purity of our inner being, positive change in other areas is guaranteed and can be quite rapid.

The mantra "Aang Saang Wahe Guru" is the Sikh mantra that means "The dynamic, loving energy of the Infinite Source of All is dancing within every cell of me." Isn’t that completely gorgeous?

lyrics

Standing on the edge of time
Letting go what isn't mine
Letting go what came before
Opening up a new door

Letting go
(what I think I know)
Sets me free
(of this identity)
To know again
(who I really am)
Eternity

Ang Sang Wahe Guru

Standing on the edge of time
Letting go what isn't mine
Letting go what came before
Opening up a new door

Letting go
(of this identity)
Lets me see
(beyond duality)
To know again
(who I really am)
Eternity

Ang Sang Wahe Guru
